Jake’s Place Industrial charm meets modern working environments: Once home to the printing halls in Building J, Jake's Bar is now the heart of the campus. A spacious, light-filled foyer with a reception area leads into the halls, which are up to 18 metres high. The unique industrial character creates space for inspiration and offers plenty of flexibility for designing your office and commercial space.


Eve’s Place Work and enjoy yourself under one roof: the front building in Sector E is directly connected to the historic halls and combines office and restaurant space in one building. On the ground floor, Eve's Kitchen invites you to linger and network, while the upper three floors offer modern, light-flooded office space for productive work.

Caffetino has been located in an old post office near Schlieren railroad station since 1970. Caffetino stands for the highest coffee enjoyment, proven coffee knowledge and an excellent service orientation. In April 2021, Caffetino will move into the JED - combining traditional roasting craftsmanship with a modern think and work tank.

The history of the site
1895: Johann Caspar Geissberger founded the Swiss Wagon Factory in Schlieren.

From 1901: Focus on the construction of rail vehicles for SBB.

1960s: The Schindler Group takes over Wagons & Aufzüge Fabrik AG Schlieren - Zurich.

1985: Shutdown of production.

2015: The NZZ closes its printing facility and prints its last edition on 30 June 2015.

2016: Swiss Prime Site acquires the site and transforms it into an innovation campus.

The roots of today's JED Campus date back to 1895, when Johann Caspar Geissberger founded the Swiss Wagon Factory in Schlieren. Workplaces for the construction of luxury carriages and sleighs were initially built on the newly acquired site, before the company began to focus entirely on rail vehicles in 1901. The ‘Wagi’, as it was affectionately known, shaped Swiss mobility for decades and developed, among other things, the first light steel carriages for the SBB. read more

In the 1960s, the Schindler Group took over the company, but production ended in 1985 – a turning point for Schlieren. The NZZ printing company then moved in and turned the site into a hub for information and communication until 2015. Swiss Prime Site's vision marked the beginning of a new chapter: the historic industrial halls were transformed into a modern innovation campus.

Today, JED is a place where history and the future merge – a vibrant hub for knowledge transfer, entrepreneurship and creativity. read less
